Incredibly, Officer Emanuel E. Manias eavesdropped on a significant priveledged coversation between Mr. Heidelbery and his attorney. Even more incredible, Officer Manias documented his eavesdropping in a Supplementary Report dated May 31, 1970. This is extremely serious and prejudicial misconduct.
It should be noted that during this private conversation, Mr. Heidelberg proclaimed his innocence, advising his attorney that he had loaned his car to Lester Mason and was in the process of attempting to retrieve his car when he was arrested.
